AFTER PROCEDURE INFORMATION

After care is crucially important for a good result:

1. To prevent the infections;

2. To avoid any scarring;

3. To provide the remaining of the pigment in the skin evenly over the entire treated area as much as possible

Before the procedure you were informed that all cosmetic tattooing procedures: microblading, micropigmentation, semi-permanent makeup are two or more step process. The results cannot be determined until after the touch up applications. It is required at least one touch-up visit after 4-8 weeks. Do not be alarmed neither by sharpness and darkness of the color for the first week after the procedure nor by fading up to 50% after the first application. The final shape and color cannot be judged until 4 weeks after the touchup applications are completed.

As cosmetic tattooing is invasive procedure swelling, redness, light bruising near the eyelids or lips are normal skin reactions. Different people have different physiology. Usually, the healing process takes one-two week.

AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS

General

If there is any discomfort swelling after the procedure, you can apply cold pack a few times at the first day for 10-15 min. Avoid direct contact with water like ice cubes, only a bag through clean cloth, you can use cooled wet chamomile tea bags as well.

Avoid for 1 week:

· Touching pigmented areas with your hands.

· Soaps, facial cleansers, shampoo, conditioner, water on pigmented areas

· Chlorine pools, steamy long showers, jacuzzi or saunas

· Sun on pigmented area - Any serum with Retin-A, anti-aging and acid-containing cream on pigmented areas and 15 inches close.

· Makeup on pigmented area

· Avoid workouts or any activities which can make you sweat or increase blood pressure for 3 days, it may increase swelling and oozing.

· Try to sleep on the back. If you smash your face in a pillow while sleeping your skin can tear or rip.

On the day of your procedure, gently cleanse the pigmented area to remove any lymph fluid, excess pigment, or residue.

Wash your hands thoroughly before touching the treated area.

Gently cleanse the pigmented area using an appropriate, alcohol-free topical antiseptic, as recommended by your technician. For eyeliner procedures, use a sterile eye-wash solution specifically intended for ophthalmic use. Alternatively, use sterile water. If using boiled water, boil for 3–5 minutes and allow it to cool completely before use.

Gentle cleansers may be used if they are alcohol-free and do not contain exfoliating, anti-aging, or acne-treatment acids. Pat the area dry gently; do not rub.

If you have oily skin, apply the ointment provided by your technician 1–2 times daily. For dry skin, apply it 3–4 times daily, or whenever you feel tightness due to dryness.

Apply only a thin layer, allowing the skin to breathe. Dry crusts will naturally flake off during healing, taking some pigment with them. However, excessive moisture may interfere with healing and pigment retention.

If you experience increasing redness, irritation, pain, or suspect an infection, contact your healthcare provider promptly. Do not apply triple-antibiotic ointment routinely unless advised by your healthcare provider, as it may cause allergic reactions and is not necessary for every client.

DO NOT PEEL OR PICK AT CRUST! It will cause pigment loss, scarring and delay healing. By picking or scratching there is the potential of pulling skin tissue and the underlying ink along with. Avoid ointments or creams containing petrolatum, mineral oil.

Specifics for EYEBROW

The next day and for the first three days after procedure your brows are going to look darker, that when you went out of the salon . Do not panic! By days four and five those little scabs start to fall off and by days seven and eight you can see the result underneath. The look fades significantly.

· Do not try to help your scabs peel off!

· The aftercare is general, see above.

Be aware and have realistic expectation: Very oily skin is the most difficult skin type to work with. This type is at risk of rejecting the pigment and tends to pigment hydration. The strokes sort of blend and it ends up looking like a powder-filled brow more than like distinct strokes. But it’s still a worthwhile enhancement.

Follow your physician’s instructions regarding when to start and how long to take the medication.

If you develop a cold sore after the procedure and did not take antiviral prophylaxis, contact your physician promptly for evaluation and appropriate treatment.

Recent sinus infection, any dentures, braces, piercing bars on tongue may increase the risk of getting bacterial or fungal infection from the mouth to the lips via the saliva.

· Use general after care, instructions, see above.

· On the day 5 lips start peeling. This is when chapped lip feeling is strongest.

· Reapply a thin layer of the recommended ointment 5–8 times daily, as needed, to keep the treated area comfortable and prevent excessive dryness. Alternatively, you may use pure shea butter or a small amount of extra-virgin olive oil, if approved by your permanent make up technician.

· Keep toothpaste off lips while healing, no teeth-bleach for a month.

· Lip infections are usually described as burning pain. Immediately use triple-antibiotic ointment and consult with your physician.

· If you plan to do lip filler injections, it is better to do it one month after lip tattooing or 6 months prior.
